Located on the beautiful Sunshine Coast, our Corps have served from Gibsons to Pender Harbour since 1978. Our goal is to provide a fun and challenging program with a focus on outdoor activities, marksmanship, and leadership.

We parade out of our own training property near the airport in Wilson Creek where we store outdoor adventure gear, including 8 canoes, and conduct our weekly and outdoor training. We parade on Tuesday evenings from 6pm-9pm, with the marksmanship team training on Thursday nights.

Located at the Seaforth Armoury, 135 Squadron Royal Canadian Air Cadets was formed on June 20, 1942 in South Burnaby as Royal Oak Squadron, training boys aged 14½ to 17½ for future service in the RCAF. After WWII, the program shifted to practical youth development.

In the 1950s, the squadron moved to RCAF Station Kitsilano as Vancouver Squadron, then relocated to the Seaforth Armoury in 1965. Renamed Challenger in 1978, it became Bell-Irving in 2010 to honour Air Commodore Alan Duncan Bell-Irving, a founder of the Air Cadet program and son of a founder of the Seaforth Highlanders of Canada.
