German Luftwaffe Belt Buckle (WW II)

Luftwaffe (German Air Force) Aluminum Belt Buckle (Luftwaffe included aircrew, anti-aircraft and paratroopers - Fallschirmjaeger). A handwritten note in the files states that this buckle is from a ME 109 pilot that was shot down into a Limpsfield carpark in 1941. The pilot "roman candled" (his parachute collapsed) when he ejected his plane. The top of the note says "EGGIE". On the bottom it staes: "Photo from 19th Self propelled, cockade and epaulets sent back"
