CAPO British Web Equipment Cleaner
Tin - CAPO British Web Equipment Cleaner from Small Kit bag (1975.023.004a) marked in black "M & D" (Militia and Defence) 1914 and on the other side "J. J. TURNER & SONS MANUFACTURERS PETERBOROUGH ONT." CAPO is similiar to Blanco.
J.J. Turner & Sons re-located to George Street, Peterborough from Port Hope in 1887 and went on to become what could have been the largest manufacturer of sails, tents and awnings in Canada. The company had various workshops, including a blacksmith shop and carpentry shop which were located on site.
