Bren Gun blank firing barrel Handle

Bren Gun, Mk. I barrel - DEACTIVATED (In spare barrel case 1973.005.001). The original list, the artifact is listed as "Bren blank firing barrel Handle". The carrying handle was actually fixed half way down the barrel. - CONFIRM The Bren Gun was a series of light machine guns made by Britain (and Canada and elsewhere) in the 1930-40s and used in various roles until 1992. While best known for its role as the British and Commonwealth forces' primary infantry light machine gun (LMG) in World War II, it was also used in the Korean War and saw service throughout the latter half of the 20th century. Although fitted with a bipod, it could also be mounted on a tripod or vehicle-mounted.
