Sergeant Major Joseph McPhee "Joe" Duddle was awarded the Distinguished Conduct Medal (DCM) in May 1944 during the Hitler Line Battles. The graves are: Pte Comstock, W.D. - Gradara War Cemetery H1413 William David Comstock who died on 2 September 1944. He enlisted in the Seaforths on 6 June 1944. Pte Rushowic, P. - Gradara War Cemetery H195151 Peter Rushowic joined the Seaforths on 1 September 1944 and was killed in action on 1 September 1944. Pte McLoon, R.G. - Gradara War Cemetery D139961 Ronald Garnet McLoon was wounded in action on 17 September 1944 and died of wounds on 19 September 1944. He joined the Seaforths on 24 May 1944. Pte Jarvie, A.S. - Gradara War Cemetery M53028 Andrew Scott Jarvie joined the Seaforths on 30 December 1943 and was killed in action on 1 September 1944. Pte Harasymchuk, J.K. - Gradara War Cemetery K42990 James Harasymchuk joined the Seaforths on 4 December 1943. He was wounded on 5 August 1943 and again on 17 Sept 1944. He died of wounds on18 Sept. 1944. Pte Crowley, J. - Gradara War Cemetery D108040 Pte. John CROWLEY joined the Seaforths on 31 December 1943. He died on 16 September 1944. Pte Larance, C.A. - Gradara War Cemetery L106859 Charles Alfred Larance joined the Seaforths on 13 September 1944. He was wounded and died of his wounds on 16 Sept. 1944. L/Sgt Maxwell, D.S. - Montecchio War Cemetery K49509 L/Sgt. Donald S. MAXWELL joined the Seaforths on 22 December 1943. He was wounded on 26 December 1943. He was killed in action on 31 August 1944. He was wounded on 18 July 1943 and killed in action on 10 December 1943.
