"Sports Day, Potenza, Italy", 1943. The photo was donated by F. Norman Pope who served in the Seaforths from 9 December, 1939 to 10 June, 1944. CONFIRM THAT THIS IS THE RIGHT PHOTO. The Seaforths and the entire 2nd Brigade, remained at Potenza for another week, and while there played a respectable part in the division's sports meet at the huge, modem stadium on the outskirts of Potenza. Potenza is a city and commune in the Southern Italian region of Basilicata (former Lucania). It is the capital of the province of Potenza and the Basilicata region.
