Collar Badge - Military Staff Clerks
Collar Badge - Corps of Military Staff Clerks, king's crown, brass.
The Corps of Military Staff Clerks was an administrative corps of the Canadian Army. The Headquarters Corps of Military Staff Clerks was established in 1905.
The badge of the Corps of Military Staff Clerks consists of a circle, with a Kings Crown on top, superimposed on a pair of crossed quill pens, with the text "Corps of Military Staff Clerks" around the edge. At the center of the circle is a beaver.
The Corps of Military Staff Clerks was disbanded on 30 September, 1946 and absorbed by the Royal Canadian Army Service Corps. Thereafter, the RCASC trained and provided all clerks for staff and headquarters organizations.
The corps was authorized on 1 April 1912. On 15 Apr il1915 the corps was divided into two sections; Section A, comprised of officers and NCOs on administrative and clerical duties; and Section B, comprised of NCO and Other Rank orderly clerks.
