WW II Medal Group: 1939 - 1945 Star, Canadian Voluntary Service Medal (CVSM), Defense Medal. Unnamed as issued. NOTE: LT. WILSON WOULD HAVE ALSO BEEN ENTITLED TO THE WAR MEDAL AND THE ITALY STAR BUT HE WAS KILLED IN ACTION BEFORE RECEIVING THEM. Medal Group (with the Memorial (Mother's) Cross) is believed to have belonged to Lt. Mariott Wilson. He served in the Seaforths from 2 September 1939 to 28 July 1943. He was Killed in Action on 28 July 1943 at Agira, Sicily. It appears that he was killed by the "friendly fire" of Canadian tanks. (Reference page 182 of Roy's book).
