Vimy Cross Memorial
Vimy Cross Memorial. This one has the names painted on. It was first at Ersatz Crater at Vimy Ridge. It was later returned to Canada and painted white but in so doing they overpainted the names! It is believed that it was transported to Canada in May 1923 from the newspapers that were found inside it when it was professionally restored in 2016.
Attached is a photo from the website of Colin Stevens showing the cross at the Ersatz Crater (Vimy).
