Cap Badge - Believed to be a Light Infantry collar dog
Cap Badge - Believed to be a Light Infantry collar dog, one of a facing pair.
This style of brass stringed bugle was used in a number of applications from collar badges to part of some headdress badges and also as part of a shoulder title. Difficult to date too because it was in use from 1870 to more or less "modern" times.
It is incorrectly labelled "The Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry (beret badge)" on the British Badge display. It cannot be a cap badge as the horn is facing the wrong way.
