Cap Badge - British General Service (General List) Corps. The cap badge is simple the English crest with the Lion and Unicorn. The General Service Corps' main function was to act as a holding unit for Officers and specialists who have not been assigned to other units or corps; these are primarily reservists. The GSC is usually only active in wartime. Its members are on the General List or Special List. This badge was sold by Jim Purdy for $10.00 on e-Bay in the Spring/Summer of 2017. This badge was deemed irrelevant to the museum. The money was used to purchase relevant badges for the collection.
