Muster (Nominal) Roll Book of Major T. U. O'Neil, C Company, SHC (believed to be Tom O'Neil)
From the Regimental History (page 526):
"June 3, 1962, marked another highlight in the history of the Cadet Corps. The Commanding Officer of the regiment, Lt-Col. D. I. Fairweather, decided that the Cadets would participate in the Presentation of Colours by H.R.H., The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.
The O.C. of the Cadets, Major T. U. O'Neil was to command No. 4 Guard for the presentation and trooping, and in excess of fifty Cadets were outfitted in the green doublets of the regiment and were members of the Guard. The Cadet Pipes and Drums were massed with the
Regimental Pipes and Drums, and the remainder of the officers and Cadets not committed to the Guard were employed in handling the large crowd of spectators in the stands and grounds.
Following the ceremony each Cadet received a commemorative 1962 Canadian Silver Dollar from the Women's Auxiliary to the Regiment. The strength of the Cadet Battalion reached a maximum of 296 - the largest Cadet Corps in British Columbia during this period."
