129113 RSM (WO I) Robert Stirrat, 72nd Battalion, CEF. He was the RSM in 1917.
He arrived in France on 13 August, 1916 and left the Battalion to go to England on 16 December, 1917.He had previously served for 12 years in the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders (Imperial), the Canadian 104th Regiment and the 72nd Regiment, Seaforth Highlanders of Canada. It appears that Stirrat had two medicals / attestations. One was in 1915 in Vancouver and the second was in 1920 in Victoria.
