Three Seaforth Sergeants sometime before the Battle of Vimy Ridge, 9 April, 1917.
Sergeant W. Paddon, Sergeant J. Cuthbert and Captain (former RQMS) Joe Ross, 72nd Battalion, CEF. It was taken some time between August and November,1916 when the Battalion first arrived in France. Attestations and Service File attached.
129486 Sergeant William Henry Paddon arrived in France on 13 August 1916 with the Battalion and was wounded on 23 November 1916.
Captain (former RQMS) Joe Ross arrived in France on 13 August 1916 with the 72nd Battalion and was wounded at Vimy Ridge on 9 April 1917 and then died of wounds on 11 (or 17) April 1917.
Sergeant J Cuthbert arrived in France on 13 August 1916 with the 72nd Battalion and was wounded accidentally on 22 November, 1916.
