231st BATTALION CEF (2nd RESERVE BATTALION)
231e BATAILLON CEF (2e BATAILLON DE RÉSERVE)
72nd Bn, CEF soldiers on ship (SS Northland), 1919
72nd Battalion, CEF soldiers on ship (most likely the Olympic), 1919. There are two Seaforths with three soldiers in dark uniforms and forage caps with white covers (possibly Royal Marines). The Seaforths are in SD tunics, kilts and hair sporrans. One of them is sitting and looking through binoculars.
The photo may also be the 231st Bn going overseas in April 1917 onthe SS Northland or SS Canada.
