WW I Kilt Apron (with names)

Canvas kilt apron from World War I (believed to be 72nd or 231st Battalion, CEF) with signatures and regimental numbers. It was received from the Vancouver Island Military Museum with a kilt (which they kept). This may be doubled numbered with 2016.011.123. GET DETAILS ON THE SIGNATURES Kilt Aprons (covers) were worn by Highland regiments on active service. Not only did the apron protect the kilt but it also made the kilt less conspicous in the field. It is a brown canvas apron with tape tie in a seam at the top, a single button flap pocket in the centre (actng as a sporran).
