2nd Seaforths Inter-Company Cup, 1906

2nd Battalion, The Seaforth Highlanders Inter-Company Challenge Cup, 1906 The 2nd Seaforth was in Edinburgh from 1906-1909. In 1906 it went on to Edinburgh (from Aldershot) where it was quartered in the castle. HRH Prince Leopold, Duke of Albany, had been appointed Colonel in Chief of the Seaforth Highlanders, and in 1907 he paid his first visit to the regiment when he inspected the 2nd Seaforth at Edinburgh. There was a full share of ceremonial duties, including Guards of Honour for the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland, the Royal Guard at Ballater, and the opening of the Queen Victoria School, Dunblane. In 1909, the Battalion went to Fort George near Inverness, Scotland.
