SHC Bush Dress Armlet (Sgt)
Armlet (Brassard) - It was worn in Bush Dress with Seaforth shoulder title (sans serif), tartan patch, Mobile Command (MobCom) patch and Sergeant's stripes.
Cloth Brassard worn with Bush Dress, Seaforth Highlanders of Canada shoulder title (sans serif), MacKenzie tartan and Mobile Command (Army) badge and Sergeant's stripes. It was worn by 2Lt Colin M. Stevens, A Company, Seaforth Highlanders of Canada, circa 1969.
The Canadian Forces (CF) Mobile Command Patch represents a preparedness to move in any direction of the compass. The badge was initially worn as a cloth patch on each sleeve. Later it was produced as a metal badge for wear on the right breast pocket in DEUs.
Force Mobile Command was the title given to Canada's land forces following integration of the three services in the 1960s. It was formed in June 1965 as one of six Commands resulting from the integration of the three services. The other five Commands were Maritime, Air Transport, Training, Air Defence and Materiel. This initial phase of integration was achieved through an amendment to the National Defence Act that was approved in 1964. Final and formal abolition of the Royal Canadian Navy, Air Force and Army as separate services was came with the Canadian Forces Reorganization Act of 1967, which became law in February 1968. Force Mobile Command was re-named Land Force Command in the 1990s. The motto is "Mobile".
The badge is a white square on its point with a red border, in the centre an eleven pointed red maple leaf superimposed on four light and dark blue arrows (symbolizing sea nad air power) pointing to the corners.
