72nd Battalion, CEF kit layout for Unit Standing Orders, 1916 - 1917
72nd ( Seaforth Highlanders of Canada) Battalion, CEF kit layout for Unit Standing Orders for kit inspection. Attached is a photocopy
The photo shows L/Cpl J. Harper who was killed in action in Avon (Avion), France. He is not listed in the Regimental History. [It is debatable whether this is really LCpl J. Harper.] The photo was taken in the Commissioner's (Commission?) Hotel, Vancouver, c.1916-1917
There were two J. Harpers killed in action from the CWGC lists: Lt John Arthur Harper, 29th Battalion, CEF and Gunner J.P. Harper, Royal Canadian Horse Artillery.
