Lee-Enfield SMLE Rifle (Cpl MacAulay, MM)
Rifle, Lee-Enfield Short Lee-Enfield (SMLE, in 1923 renamed No. 1 Mk. III) Made 1914. Has magazine cut-off, rubber butt cover, trigger lock and unmarked brass butt disk.
The rifle was not donated with a magazine. The original owner (Alex MacAulay) had always stored the magazine and rifle in separate locations. The donor and his family are still looking for it. Not sure if it has been found yet.
