Gravestone of Pte James Louden, 72nd Battalion, CEF, Seaforth Highlanders of Canada. at Mountain View Cemetery, Vancouver in 1997. He died on 10 November 1942. On rear: "Mountain View 94". 658451 Pte James Louden does not appear to have served in the 72nd Battalion and/or Seaforths despite his gravestone stating "Hldrs of Can". From his service file it appears that he originally enlisted in the 159th Battalion and then transferred to the Canadian Railway Troops. He has previously served in the South African Constabulary and the 97th Regiment (Algonquin Rifles) of the Canadian Militia.
