Pattern 1898 Infantry scabbard
Scabbard for Seaforth Highlanders 'Field-Officer's' broadsword. Pattern 1834 broadsword blade (Wilkinson serial# 24661) with a nickel half-basket. This sword was made in 1881.
It is interesting in that it is a Pattern 1898 Infantry scabbard rather than the usual Pattern 1834 Broadsword type.
