Afghan "Dhal" Shield purchased in a Kandahar, Afghanistan bazaar by Warrant Officer Robert Deans. The shield is made of thin iron with iron circular bosses. On the inside are two loops made of a leather type material with a black cloth pillow. It commemorates the Seaforth participation in Operation "Athena". It is to be hung in the Warrant Officers and Sergeants Mess.
