ALLIED REGIMENTS OF THE BRITISH ARMY

RÉGIMENTS ALLIÉS DE L'ARMÉE BRITANNIQUE

British Army DPM Jacket, 1984

British Army DPM combat jacket (officially) modified for use in Northern Ireland, circa 1983 - 1984. The cuffs are made from Lovat hose and the breast pockets had zippers attached. These modifications were done by the regimental tailor. Disruptive Pattern Material (DPM) is the commonly used name of a camouflage pattern used by the British Armed Forces as well many other armies worldwide, particularly in former British colonies. Adopted in 1968 but the scale pattern and colors were altered in 1984, 1990, 1994 and 2000 respectively. It was replaced by the Multi-Terrain Pattern in 2010.
