Folder with information on the 36th Anniversary Dinner on 15 June, 1996.

File folder with information on the 36th Anniversary Dinner on 15 June, 1996. This dinner was for the anniversary of the first official parade of the Regiment at Recreation Park, Vancouver, BC. It comprises: Blank sheets of WO's & Sgts Mess stationary, menu and grace, programs, seating plan, attendance and a receipt for helium balloons. From the Regimental History (page 6 and 7 ): "The first public appearance of the regiment took place on Coronation Day, Thursday, June 22nd, 1911, the ceremonies in connection with the occasion being held in Recreation Park, Vancouver. With a hot sun beating down on the largest crowd of civilians and soldiers ever gathered in Vancouver, [estimated to be in the neighbourhood of 30,000 people] the Coronation was fittingly celebrated. The weather, which had been threatening in the morning, could not have been better when the ceremonies began in t'he afternoon, and a crowd of about 30,000 people covered every foot of space in the park, and filled the grand stand to overflowing. the display of troops was something previously unknown in Vancouver, and the new Highland regiment especially drew forth favourable comments".
