Cap Badge of the 48th Highlanders of Canada. This badge is mounted with the WW I Medals Group of Company Sergeant Major George Hilton Soles, DCM (2 bars). CSM Soles never served in the 48th Highlanders of Canada. He joined the Canadian Army on 4 May 1915 and was assigned to the 48th Battalion (Victoria Regiment later the 3rd Pioneers).
