6th DCO Rifles at drill on the Cambie Grounds and Beatty Street Drill Hall, 1910

Beatty Street Drill Hall showing the 6th Duke of Connaught's Own Rifles at drill. Note how far False Creek came in at high tide and what is now Main Street. Between Chinatown and 2nd Avenue there was a wooden causeway over the creek. Fairview slopes looking towards 16th Avenue and Main Street is second-growth forest. The postcard is addressed to Mr. E.A. Brimley, Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, USA with an Edward VII stamp. SCANNED AND ATTACHED TO MEDIA
