FOUNDATIONS OF THE 72nd REGIMENT, 1910-1914
Fondation du 72e régiment, 1910-1914
72nd Regt, Seaforths marching over bridge to Stanley Park, 1914
Photo - 72nd Regiment, Seaforth Highlanders of Canada marching over bridge to Stanley Park, 1914. The photo is taken from the park and it shows the Vancouver arena and the Horse Show Building.
The Horse Show Building was at 1900 Georgia Street, at the southwest corner of Gilford Street and Georgia. It was built in 1908 and 1909. The building later became an armoury for the Irish Fusiliers, and was called the Stanley Park Armoury (or Armouries). A fire destroyed the building on March 18, 1960.
