"72nd Battalion camp near the line". May, 1918. A soldier wearing a kilt and balmoral is splitting wood in front of a galvanized iron walled barracks. To the right is another 72nd Battalion soldier sitting on duckboards reading a book. Between them is a cross woth a rondelle affixed and what appears to be a grave.
