FOUNDATIONS OF THE 72nd REGT, 1910-1914

Fondations du 72e régiment, 1910-1914

72nd Regt soldiers doing fatigues at Sidney Camp, 1912

Soldiers of the 72nd Regiment, Seaforth Highanders of Canada with pitchforks, shovels and axes outside their tent lines at Sidney Camp, 1912. They are dressed in glengarries, kilts, hair sporrans and service dress tunics. Some of the Seaforths are wearing trews. They appear to be gathering hay (possibly for the officers' horses) under the watchful eye of a senior NCO. The photo was possibly taken by Victoria Book & Stationery Co. Ltd., Victoria (B.C.)
