CF Sewing Kit in a green holdall from December 1991. It contains needles, buttons and thread. The tag states: "SEWING KIT / NSN 8315-21-903-1150 / DEC. 91 A.U.R." The standard Canadian Forces "sewing kit" by the 1990s (no longer called a "housewife") was in green material (cotton and afterwards in nylon), with pockets inside and a piece of felt to which needles could be attached. This kit from 1991 is secured by velcro to the body of the kit. Inside the pockets are two plastic bags, one with buttons, and the other with thread, a thimble and a needle threader. Needles and safety pins were attached to the black felt. Thread was provided in white, black, and two shades of olive green.
