Unknown Pipe Major & RCASC) NCO posing for a portrait after WW II.

Civilian Pipe Major C. Biggar with a Royal Canadian Army Service Corps (RCASC) CSM is William "Bill" Thompson posing for a portrait in a studio, 1970. The piper is in full dress with green doublet and Canadian WW II medals. The Service Corps NCO is dressed in Tropical Summer dress in shorts and knee high socks with a forage cap, Sam Browne belt and pistol holster. K54039 Piper C. Biggar served in the Seaforths in WW II. He served from 28.August, 1942 to 25.September, 1945. This photo was taken at the Bohemian Club in San Francisco on the visit of HRH Prince Phillip, The Duke of Edinburgh. Thompson was a member of the Club. The Bohemian Club is a private club in two locations: a city clubhouse in the Union Square district of San Francisco, California, and the Bohemian Grove, a retreat north of the city in Sonoma County. Founded in 1872 from a regular meeting of journalists, artists and musicians, it soon began to accept businessmen and entrepreneurs as permanent members, as well as offering temporary membership to university presidents and military commanders who were serving in the San Francisco Bay Area. Today, the club has a diverse membership of many local and global leaders, ranging from artists and musicians to businessmen.
