COMMANDEMENT ET MÉCÈNES DU RÉGIMENT
Prince Phillip, The Duke of Edinburgh, Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders
HRH Prince Phillip, The Duke of Edinburgh in the uniform of the Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders on a postcard addressed to George Clapshew. He was their Colonel in Chief. The postcard was mailed to him by Ian from Greensboro, North Carolina on 14 July, 1980.
The Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders was a line infantry regiment of the British Army formed in 1793. In 1961 the regiment was amalgamated with the Seaforth Highlanders (Ross-shire Buffs, The Duke of Albany's) to form the Queen's Own Highlanders.
