Boot & Brass Cleaning Kit (K52176)

Boot & Brass Cleaning Kit with holdall belonging to soldier "K52176". The kit contains a canvas holdall, Silvo silver polish, Esquire Lanol (white) shoe (leather) polish, tin of Dubbing (Dubbin) water proofer, applicator shoe brush and a buffing boot brush. "K52176" is most likely a Seaforth as "K52175" (Pte H.A. Thorne) and "K52177" (A/Sgt Kervin) were WW II Seaforths. They both joined on 12 September, 1939. According to Roy's book, 47 men enlisted on this date.
