Postcard - Imperial Seaforth Highlander Bass Drummer, 1910-14
Postcard of a bass drummer of the Seaforth Highlanders, circa 1910-1914. He is dress in scarlet tunic with a leopard skin cover. He has campaign medals from the Sudan and South Africa Wars. The postcard is in a plastic envelope.
It was from Robert Shanks of the Seaforth Highlanders Regimental Association (Ross-Shire Branch) in Scotland in the book - Ross-Shire Roll of Honour, 1914-15 - Portraits of Officers and Men on Active Service with Souter's Ross-Shire Directory (reprinted in 2014).
The letter is addressed to the Commanding Officer of The Seaforth Highlanders of Canada on the 100th Anniversary of the start of World War I.
