A guard of the 72nd Regiment, Seaforth Highlanders of Canada at Ladysmith, BC during the Aid to the Civil Power operation on Vancouver Island, August 1913. They are standing at slope arms with a man in a gretcoat with the initials "M.P." on his right sleeve cuff. The Seaforths are wearing pith helmets, kilts, diced hose, kilt aprons and service dress tunics. Behind them is a brick building with EAST over the double doors.
