Letter from Canadian soldier 2139065 Pte. Dan (J.) McKinnon, 72nd Battalion CEF to Mrs. A.B. De Long thanking her for a care parcel. This letter is dated 18 December, 1918 from Belgium. He arrived in France on 27 Sept 1918. CEF service file attached Mrs. De Long organized and forwarded parcels to CEF troops who were serving overseas. The letters in this collection date from late 1918 and early 1919. They are thank you letters to her. It appears that all of the recipients lived or still had family in the North Burnaby area.
