FRONT INTÉRIEUR, 1914 - 1919

Letter from SSgt Metcalf, 15th Cdn Gen Hospital to Mrs. A.B. De Long thanking her for a care parcel dated 16 Dec, 1918.

Letter from Canadian soldier Staff Sergeant John Benyon Metcalf, 15th Canadian General (Duchess of Connaught Red Cross) Hospital, Taplaw, England to Mrs. A.B. De Long thanking her for a care parcel. The letter is dated 16 December, 1918 from Taplaw, England. CEF service file attached. Mrs. De Long organized and forwarded parcels to CEF troops who were serving overseas. The letters in this collection date from late 1918 and early 1919. They are thank you letters to her. It appears that all of the recipients lived or still had family in the North Burnaby area.
