An Account / Memoir of the Homecoming to Vancouver of the Seaforths on 6 October 1945. This recollection was for the 50th Anniversary of the return in 1995. This account is by Stu McKim: September 26, 1995 Stu McKim #3- 14235 - 18A Ave Surrey, B.C. ...a few of my thoughts on our arrival back in Vancouver. First, it was the breakup of the Unit which for nearly two years had been like a “family” to me. Secondly, the joy of returning home was dampened by the memories of those who did not return. Little did I realize that this would always remain with me. There are [other thoughts] such as fear of the unknown and surviving and being unable to explain why. Stu McKim
