"Verda" in 231st dress at Workpoint Barracks, Esquimalt, 3 June 1917. Photo faded. She is wearing the 231st Bn bonnet with the double eagles feather, a CEF tunic, web belt, round fur sporran and long skirt.
The 231st Battalion left for England in April 1917 and the battalion was absorbed into the 24th Reserve Battalion on 22 April, 1917.
