Promotion telegram for 1015599 Cpl. Robert Darlington Nelson, 3rd C.D.D. who was stationed in Seaford, Sussex at the time. The telegram is dated 8 November 1917 but the promotion is backdated to 21 June 1917. The promotion is mentioned in 72nd Battalion Part II orders in Orders No. 102, paragraph 7.
1015599 Pte. Robert Darlington Nelson arrived in France at the 72nd Battalion, CEF on 23 May 1917 with a draft from the 231st Battalion. He was wounded on 27 June 1917 and 2 September 1918.
