Maschinengewehr 08/15 - Spandau. Serial number 258. In extremely poor condition: this machine gun was brought back to Canada as a captured war trophy and was orginally allocated to Halifax Nova Scotia. The gun is on the war trophies list at Library and Archives Canada. This machine gun is one of four such war trophies that were dug up on April 23rd, 2025 during construction of the new amphitheatre at the PNE, along with two nine-pounder muzzle loading canons from 1874 and 1875, and the trail of captured German 10.5cm howitzer serial 7283, that was dug up in March and brought to Seaforth on April 1st, 2025.
