Attention Holland Veterans
Veterans Affairs Canada will be conducting an overseas event to mark the 70th Anniversary of the Liberation of the Netherlands. This overseas event is scheduled for May 1 to 10, 2015, with remembrance ceremonies and events to be held at a number of sites throughout the Netherlands.
The Department is pleased to invite your organization to nominate a Canadian War Veteran who served in the liberation of the Netherlands to join the official delegation that will be assembled for this overseas event. The deadline for receiving your nomination(s) is February 28, 2015. All travelling and living expenses in Canada and overseas for your representative will be the responsibility of Veterans Affairs Canada.
In addition, a medical team will accompany the delegation. However, the busy schedule of events requires that all members of the delegation be in good health. Nominees will be asked to have their family physician certify that they are in good health and that they are able to withstand the fatigue of extended travel.

Veterans Affairs Canada is also offering a $2,000 travel subsidy for those Holland veterans that are not part of the official party.
